Support the education of Baboucarr Sallah's familyWhen Baboucarr Sallah died suddenly in March 2022, he left two wives and ten children. A few months later his first wife (Ami) contacted two former PC staff members who now work with GambiaRising. Could we help with her children's school expenses? We said we would.
But we recognize that education is not a one-off expense. So we are hoping to "endow" the support of his kids by asking RPCVs to sign up for sustainable monthly donations long-term so that we can promise Baboucarr's kids they will have support at least through 12th grade (and hopefully beyond). We will start with Ami's seven, and then after their support is ensured, we will verify that the children of his second wife are being cared for by her extended family. |
