Nema Kuta
The Peace Corps Training Village initiative started in Nema Kuta.

A teacher at the Nema Kuta school suggested to the VDC (village development council) that they contact GambiaRising after seeing our FaceBook page. Samba Sowe, VDC Chairman, contacted Alieu Gaye, our LRR Coordinator (and a teacher himself). We started in early 2021 with 10 students who had dropped out. By the following school year, 29 students from Nema Kuta had gone back to or stayed in school with uniforms and supplies from GambiaRising.

Unfortunately, every young person from Nema Kuta will still not graduate from 12th grade. If you can help change this fact. please join us. A few dollars per month will change someone's life.
