Gambian Teachers for Gambian Students (GTGS)
Gambia Teachers for Gambian Students (GTGS) is a project of the Hope For Gambia Foundation, a charitable organization founded in 2015 by two young Gambian teachers, Basiru Bah and Lamin Saidy.
After teaching for years at different parts of The Gambia, they organized other teachers to join them by contributing 15% of their small salaries to help school children with the uniforms, stationery, and supplies they need to attend school - even lunch money if necessary.
