Join us in welcoming Fatou Kineh

to New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC
Picture
In 2012, Fatou Kineh Ndow, whose mother had funded her through 12th grade by selling phone credit from her wheelchair at Westfield junction, applied to GambiaRising for support to attend the University of The Gambia.

Although the costs of UTG were substantially higher than our usual focus on supporting girls in grades 1 to 12, we were able to find enough donors to join together to support her.  And four years later, Fatou Kineh was Valedictorian of her class at UTG, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Mathematics.  But she was not done yet; Fatou Kineh is now studying for her Master's Degree in Mathematics on a full scholarship from Ohio University.

And in two weeks, she'll be coming to New York for the first time. Then Boston, then Washington, DC.
Please join us in welcoming Fatou Kineh.

In New York, there will be two opportunties to greet her and find out more about GambiaRising; one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn:

Friday, June 9: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (drop by anytime during that window)
33 Irving Place in Union Square (We-Work)

In Boston, we'll be greeting her on Friday, June 16 between 5:30 and 8:00 PM
at 15 Rindgefield St 2nd floor, Cambridge.

Near Philadelphis, Fatou Kineh will be speaking on Sunday, June 18 at 10:30 AM at the St. Andrew's United Methodist Church of Cherry Hill - 327 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ.

In Washington, DC, please join us on Monday, June 19th

at 1715 6th Street NW from 6:30 to 9 PM.

If you are near any of these locations I hope you can join us.

And do please spread the word.
